EURODOC MED

The EURODOCMED workshop is open to producers and directors working in Mediterranean countries: Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. This selective project-based workshop addresses issues of writing, development and international co-production, with a focus on North-South and South-South co-productions.

Since its creation, EURODOC has been heavily involved in training and networking producers from MENA countries. This is reflected in the two films that won the Œil d'Or (ex-aequo) at Cannes this year: LES FILLES D'OLFA by Kaouther Ben Hania (EURODOC09 alumna) and LA MERE DE TOUS LES MENSONGES developed within the framework of EURODOC18 by its director and producer Asmae El Moudir.

Between 2006 and 2017, EURODOCMED trained some thirty producers from MENA countries, including Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.

A new edition was reinitiated in May 2023 and 2024 in Corsica in collaboration with Corsica.Doc thanks to the support of the Cullettività di Corsica. In 2025, EURODOCMED will take place once again in Ajaccio, Corsica from April 28 to May 2, 2025.
The call will open on January 2, 2025.

In 2024, 65% of participants graded their satisfaction to 5/5 and 35% to 4/5. 100% of participants showed interest in applying to the EURODOC annual training or another short program following this workshop.
